Candlelit dining room at Lakeside Parlour at dusk, with dark wood tables and a view toward the St. Lawrence River

Not every night follows the same plan.

Some evenings begin with a slow dinner and a bottle of Québec wine. Others turn into long conversations over cocktails, or a quiet game of Texas Hold'em after the kitchen closes. At Lakeside Parlour, the night is shaped by what you're in the mood for.

The Shape of an Evening

Every evening here has a beginning, a middle, and a late hour. The dining room opens first, with the kitchen moving at a deliberate pace. The bar follows, and by ten o'clock the parlour takes on a quieter, more focused energy.

We are a restaurant before anything else. The evening menu is built around Québec ingredients, and the dining room is designed for long meals, not quick turns.

As the night deepens, the room shifts. Candles replace overhead light, the music lowers, and the back parlour opens for those who want to stay a little longer.

Seven Ways to Spend an Evening

Chef's Table

A single long table in the kitchen's shadow, where the chef sends out a tasting menu built around what arrived that morning. This is the most personal way to eat here. Seats up to ten guests, available Thursday through Saturday, and the menu changes weekly.

Cocktail Nights

The bar takes the lead. Our bartenders work through a short list of original cocktails and a few classics, paired with small plates designed to be shared. Focus on Québec spirits and seasonal ingredients, with no reservations required for bar seating.

Dinner Sessions

A relaxed, à la carte evening with no fixed format. Come for a full meal, a bottle of wine, and conversation that doesn't have a time limit. Available every night, with reservations recommended.

Poker Nights

After the dining room slows, the back parlour opens for live, in-person Texas Hold'em. It's a social game, played at physical tables with real cards and a dealer. Offline only; no online play. Age 18+. Low-stakes, friendly format.

Late-Night Dining

The kitchen stays open late on weekends. A shorter menu of composed dishes and snacks is available until midnight, perfect for after a show or a long evening. Friday and Saturday until midnight, with a menu focused on shareable plates.

Private Evenings

The entire parlour can be yours for a night. We work with you to build a custom evening—dinner, cocktails, and optional poker—for up to forty guests. Available Sunday through Wednesday, with custom menus and bar packages.

Corporate Events

A private room for teams that want something different. We host dinners, cocktail receptions, and friendly poker tournaments for groups of ten to thirty. Offline poker available as an option; no gambling, purely social.

The Bar Takes Over

Our bar is not an afterthought. It's a destination in its own right, with a list that changes with the seasons and a team that takes classic technique seriously.

The list is divided into three parts: Lakeside Originals, built on Québec spirits and local botanicals; Parlour Classics, our take on old standards; and Zero-Proof, for those who want the ritual without the alcohol.

Every cocktail is designed to work with the menu, whether as an aperitif, a companion to a main course, or a late-night digestif.

“The night begins with a glass, and the glass begins with the lake.”

Poker After Dark

When the dining room begins to empty, the back parlour comes alive. Poker at Lakeside Parlour is a social game, played at physical tables with real cards and a dealer. It is not a casino, and there is no online play.

How it works

Guests can request a seat at a poker table for the evening. Games are low-stakes and friendly, with a dealer who keeps the pace relaxed. No experience is required.

What it is not

We do not offer online poker, casino games, or wagering of any kind. The game exists only in the physical parlour, after dark, as part of a larger evening.

A Typical Week

Monday to Thursday

Quieter nights. The dining room runs its full à la carte menu, and the bar stays open until midnight. Poker tables are available by request.

Friday

The week's energy peaks. Dinner service extends later, the cocktail list gets a few one-night-only additions, and the poker parlour opens at nine.

Saturday

The longest evening. The kitchen serves until eleven, the bar until two, and the poker tables run until the last hand is played.

Sunday

A slower close to the week. Dinner starts earlier, the bar winds down by eleven, and the parlour is available for private events.

Private Evenings & Corporate Events

Private Evenings

For birthdays, anniversaries, or simply a night with your own crowd, the parlour can be reserved in full. We'll build a menu, set the bar, and if you like, arrange a friendly poker table. Capacity up to 40 guests, available Sunday through Wednesday.

Corporate Events

A different kind of team night. We host dinners, cocktail receptions, and poker tournaments for groups of ten to thirty. Everything is social, nothing is wagered. Capacity 10-30 guests, with offline poker available as an option.

The Late-Night Menu

On Friday and Saturday, the kitchen keeps a shorter menu until midnight. It's built for sharing and for the kind of hunger that arrives after a few cocktails or a long hand of poker.

Think smoked meat poutine, a cheeseboard with Québec cheeses, fried smelts with lemon, and a dark chocolate tart. The full cocktail list remains available.

Reserve Your Evening

Whether you're planning a quiet dinner, a cocktail night, or a seat at the poker table, we'll hold a place for you.

A Note on Responsible Play

Poker at Lakeside Parlour is a social game for adults 18 and over. It is played only at physical tables, never online, and never for wagering. If you're looking for a casino experience, this is not it. Learn more about responsible play.
